Hey Sterling! Looks like I'm the first to comment on this thing so here goes :-) Agreed, we do need to slow down and definitely stop sometimes. It's difficult also to get perspective on where God is leading while we're going full speed.
I also think that sometimes christians "slow down or stop" and misuse the "As for me and my house we will serve the Lord" verse. They stop and say/do something that is drawing themselves closer to God by stopping but irritate those around them as this guy did in looking at lights. How great it is when we can love those around us by not only stopping, but we are an attrative fragrance of love or grace and those around want to stop and see what we're looking at. I pray all of us have conversations and actions that through obedience draw us and others around us closer to the King.
Have a great new year!
You do not know me. You are simply a young man with a blog that my son follows and I happened across. I just wanted to say how much enjoyed this post. You are setting a wonderful example for your family. God Bless and Happy New Year!!
