Coming soon...

What you see here is the new logo for 521 Coffee Co., my newest venture into the coffee roasting scene.  The name comes from 2 Corinthians 5:21, "He became sin who knew no sin, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him."  This verse overwhelms me.  Jesus didn't just take my sin; He became my sin on my behalf so that He could pay the penalty for my sin.  He didn't owe the penalty, I did, but He paid it so that He might present me to God as righteous and blameless.  What does this verse have to do with coffee?  Absolutely nothing.  But it's my favorite verse and when people ask me what 521 means then I have another opportunity to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with them.

The coffee beans are on the way and will be roasted soon.  The website has an address (www.521coffee.org) but isn't built yet.  Soon, very soon, you will be able to order fresh roasted coffee from Uganda and Ethiopia and the proceeds will be used to help ministry organizations in these and other countries (I'm still trying to firm up those details).

So clean your coffee pots out, grab you favorite mug, and get ready to drink the freshest coffee you've ever tasted.  It's best when you drink it black, but if you have to add sugar and cream I can look past it this one time.

Sweet! Congratulations. I respect that a lot. My sis-in-law is in the process of adopting from Uganda now.

My Story to Tell

I was hesitant at first to write this blog post. A big reason for that is because so many people have experienced a lot of life-altering eve...
